I cannot believe this is the first time I’ve photographed this dress for the blog!  I bought it last spring from Pomp and Pride on Etsy, and it is absolutely one of the best vintage purchases I’ve ever made.  Not only is it my favorite color, but it’s made in the lightest, flowiest silk, cut perfectly, and it has the most beautiful details in the pleating and covered buttons.  Etsy is one of my go-to sites for special occasion clothes – I routinely do a search for “silk secretary dress” – and I love getting high-quality vintage for a fraction of the price of something new.

I wore this outfit out to dinner with the bf a few nights ago.  The mix of bright prints gives off such a happy vibe, and paired with neutral accessories it’s just the right amount of loud.  Forgive me the moment I am having with layering sweaters over button-downs, it’s a great way to stay warm and look crisp… since I clearly won’t give up my miniskirts.

I know I’m a little late jumping on this trend, but looking forward to spring, I just want to load up my wrists with friendship bracelets.  Who’s with me?  If you’re feeling especially crafty today/can’t talk your little cousin into making a bunch for you, there’s a nice how-to refresher here.
